Delira is a modern revival of the experimental Tia Lira typeface, originally crafted by Manuel Pereira da Silva. Redesigned by Hugo Carvalho, Hugo Moura, Ana Coelho & Rita Soares, with guidance from Pedro Amado through the University of Porto’s Master’s program, it transforms an expressive, high‑contrast display font into a refined editorial typeface.
It retains its bold, unconventional proportions and striking terminals, yet improves structure and legibility—especially in body text between 8–12 pt. Delira brings a perfect blend of visual character and reading comfort.
