Cy Grotesk Std is a modified version of the original Cy Grotesk, offering a more neutral and conventional approach to type design. The absence of sharp long angled spurs in the letters is its key distinction from the original, resulting in a cleaner and more versatile aesthetic.
It is a display typeface with an eccentric character and a special rhythm. Symbols feature smooth curves and tight apertures, balanced with large wedge incisions between the bowl and the stem. Built like a multifunctional workhorse, it has a wide range of font uses.
