Road UA is a typeface developed to replace the old ГОСТ 10807-78 in the road signage of Ukraine. Unlike its predecessor which implied primary typesetting in all capitals, it was designed “lowercase first”. Two different weights, Medium and Bold, are now used for light-on-dark and dark-on-light signs respectively.
Although only two weights are intended to use in the traffic signage, there is a total of 8 weights available. The typeface is free to download and use under CC BY-ND 4.0 license.
