Ancízar is a versatile typeface family developed in 2014 to strengthen the institutional identity of Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Released publicly in 2024, it features Serif and Sans Serif styles, each with nine weights designed for diverse print and digital applications.
Combining readability with distinctive character, Ancízar supports Western Latin, monotonic Greek, and the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), with 1,043 characters per font. Developed by a multidisciplinary team, it represents the University’s contribution to global typography and creative expression.
Ancizar Sans Font Family is totally free for personal and commercial use, licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1.
