Ancizar Serif Font Family

Designed in 2014 by César Puertas, Viviana Monsalve, and Julián Moncada for the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, UNAL Ancízar is a versatile, highly legible typeface family released open-access in 2024.

Optimized for both low-quality print and digital screens, it includes 9 weights across Serif (for body text) and Sans Serif (for headlines and signage) variants. With 1,043 characters per font—supporting Western Latin, monotonic Greek, and the IPA—it features small caps, diacritics, and varied numerals to give institutional communications a distinct, adaptable identity.
