Garamon Font

Garamon(d/t) Font, named after 16th-century French engraver Claude Garamond (often spelled Garamont), is a classic old-style serif typeface renowned for its elegance and readability.

Its design, rooted in Roman types cut by Jean Jannon in 1615 and inspired by Francesco Griffo’s 1495 work for Aldus Manutius, features a small-eyed ‘e’, a sharp-hooked ‘a’, and splayed ‘M’ with outward serifs.

The italics draw from Robert Granjon’s 1557 designs. Ideal for books and body text, Garamond offers a timeless, refined aesthetic with a low x-height, making it a favorite for print.
