ST-Cherty Font

ST-Cherty font was originally created as a logotype for a historical film. However, the client’s requirements conflicted with historically accurate lettering, so the designer invented fictional characters inspired by common modern stereotypes about pre-Christian Slavic writing. Most glyphs are based on Scandinavian runes, mixed with Turkic runes, ancient Greek letters, and even African symbols.

These forms share a carved, engraved style typical of marks scratched into wood or stone rather than written. The result is a decorative, fictional typeface inspired by ancient aesthetics, not a historical alphabet. It includes extended Latin and Cyrillic, numbers, and basic punctuation.

The font is free for any use. Selling the font is prohibited. Embedding the font in commercial applications that create products for third parties (video templates, graphic templates, etc.) is prohibited. You can support the designer here.
